Volunteer of the Year Award 2024 - Sean Barns

It is with great pleasure that we announce Sean Barns as our Club Volunteer for 2024. Sean has been an integral part of Milperra Lions since 2012 when his son first joined. Over the years, he’s been a dedicated committee member, coach and all-around club hero, helping with everything from gala days and fundraisers to state cup competitions.

Sean is always at the field setting up goals for our juniors, coaching his team and staying late to pull down goals for the over-45s. He’s even lent a hand in the canteen, cleaned up at the end of busy days and organised the storage room, adding new shelving, and installing our new TV and our new trophy cabinet this year.

We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and dedication Sean has volunteered over the years. On top of this honour, we also congratulate him on receiving his 10-Year Service Award this season, a true testament to his commitment to the club.

Thank you, Sean, for everything you do! Milperra Lions is very fortunate to have you as part of the club and we look forward to the 2025 season.
